Starting with praise, knowing and acknowledging God. “Forever, O Lord, Thy word is settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89). Knowing that God’s word is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path helps us to look confidentially to the future. Through God’s precepts, we get understanding, he says we’re to hate every false way (Psalm 119:104). Let’s Ask the Lord to teach use the way of His statues, for the purpose of keeping them until the end. Let’s Ask God for knowledge and understanding, so that we can receive wisdom. The Word says, “If any man lack wisdom, let him ask God.”
When we turn away our eyes from all the world’s philosophy and standards and incline our hearts to the pure testimonies of the Lord, and not have covetousness, we then can say in truth, “Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity.” Ask God to quicken your steps and your ways. Brothers and Sisters, do you know that “The Lord takes pleasure in them that fear Him, and in those that hope in His mercy” (Psalm 148:11).
There is a call of God for everyone and everything to praise God. Our future depends on it. He is calling for praise from the heavens: praise from all His angels; praise from all His hosts, He is asking praise from the sun and moon, all the stars of light, even the heavens of heavens, the water that’s above the heavens. God want praise from the earth, He’s calling for praise from the young men, maidens, old men, women, and children, from the deep as well. God causes His wind to blow and His waters to flow. Therefore, in looking to the future let’s remember to give Him praise.
